- Open the token page — the settings are already filled in:
- Pick an expiry, leave the ticked boxes alone, press Generate token.
- Copy it (starts with ghp_) and paste below.
Want it limited to one repo? Use a fine-grained token with Contents and Pull requests set to Read and write. To let the agent create new repositories, add Administration (Read and write) on All repositories — GitHub has no narrower permission for it. Deleting a repository is blocked here regardless of what the token allows.
- In Gitea: Settings → Applications → Generate New Token.
